Maya stared at the test paper. Next to her, her best friend Leah had left her answer sheet open, almost inviting a glance. The question Maya had struggled with all week was right there, solved. For a moment, the temptation was overwhelming. A single look, and her grade would be safe. Some users also experience cyberbullying, which can be deeply hurtful. None of this means social media is simply 'bad'. Like any tool, its effect depends on how we use it. Experts suggest setting time limits, turning off notifications and remembering that online images rarely show the whole truth. Used thoughtfully, social media can connect and inspire; used carelessly, it can leave us anxious and tired. The choice, in the end, is largely ours.
